    I think you’ve definitely pulled off that voice, this story had me right there alongside the main character. A great tale for Halloween 🙂

    I’ve always been scared of the woods, and you’ve given me another reason to be.

    Her breath smelled of “old meat” – that was the turning point for me. I love the smooth progression, from spotting a simple beauty and then transforming it into a frightful darkness.

    Oh, I loved it! Such a fantastic voice in this piece. Seriously. What a great story. Had me from the beginning. I love the idea you took with ‘catching your death’.
